Install the draft capture
A Chrome extension that watches your FanDraft or ESPN draft room and sends every completed pick — and every losing bid — to RotoTells as it happens. Nothing to build, nothing to configure. Two minutes.
Download the extension
packaged from the running server
Install it
- Unzip the download. You get a folder called
rototells-capture. Leave it somewhere you won't delete it — Chrome loads it from where it sits. - Open
chrome://extensionsin a new tab. (Chrome won't let this page link there, so paste it into the address bar yourself.) - Turn on Developer mode, top right.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the folder you unzipped.
- Click the RotoTells icon in the toolbar, sign in, and pick your league. That's it — it stays attached from then on.
Developer mode is required because this extension isn't
in the Chrome Web Store. Chrome may nag you about it once per restart;
dismissing that is safe and it keeps working. Don't turn Developer mode
off — the extension stops loading with it.
On draft night
- Open the draft room as you normally would. The capture attaches by itself and posts the team list up front.
- Map any unrecognised team to its owner once, on the board. It never guesses — a wrong owner is worse than no owner.
- Leave the tab open. If the connection drops, picks queue on your machine and send themselves when it comes back; nothing is lost.
If something looks wrong
- A red ! on the icon means your sign-in expired. Open the popup and log in again — the picks are still queued.
- The popup's bottom line always says what's attached, what's queued, and what's parked. Parked means a human has to decide something.
- Nothing appearing at all? Reload the draft room tab.
